Welcome to the site of the Walmart Foundation-founded project led by Professor Yanbin Li from the University of Arkansas: Improving Food Safety of Pork Supply chain in China. The project aims to improve the pork safety through joint efforts of the investigators from different disciplines in both the US and China. The participating investigators are from seven universities and institutes, among those, three in the US and four in China. The research areas include testing foodborne pathogens, developing rapid field testing methods and novel intervention technologies, assessing the risks, and developing an integrated monitoring program using technologies like big data and blockchain in the pork supply chains. The program will raise the awareness of food safety for the public and improve consumers’ life quality through providing science-based solutions to safe pork production.
